Over the weekend, at the Faire, I discovered the joys of a snood! I bought one because I thought it was so elegant looking, but I have found it to be quite practical.
What is a snood you might ask? Here is a picture of one:
Yes, technically it's a hair net. But, the snood has been around for centuries. It was last most popular during the 1940's. My snood is black and beautifully crochet. I love how it keeps my hair out of my face. I feel so pretty when I wear it, too.
A friend is teaching me to crochet and I found a snood pattern. So, I'm making a Christmas snood! It is red, white, and green. I love it, but I've come to a part in the pattern I don't understand, so I'm going to have to get together with my friend so she can show me what to do next. When I have it finished, I'll post a picture.
Yes folks, I'm a snoody snood lover!

I saw you with it on at church on Wed and wondered what it was but didn't get a minute to talk to you... Yeah snood!
I was JUST thinking that I need something to hold my hair back that's pretty. I was pondering what bandanas I have. This is a great idea!! I need to look into it. Great idea!!
Very nice - I look forward to the pictures. I'm glad you're snoody and not snotty, snobby or snooty.
